OUR STORY
My name is Zeina, and Clair de Lune has been my pride and joy since its launch in May 2020. Inspired by a lifelong love for crafting pretty things, I began my journey selling handmade crystal jewellery - during which time my love for crystals and their healing energy was reignited.
As a little girl, crystals were always a source of magic, treasure and mystery in my life. Growing up in Zimbabwe surrounded by nature, and in a place where crystals and gemstones were plentiful (many are mined in the nearby fertile land) I was lucky enough to get regular gifts from my grandad who sold crystals in his shop. These were only bags of small tumbles, but to me they were the most magical things in the world. Most of these were sadly lost when my family moved to the UK, but the memories and affect they had on me would remain to the present day.
I knew I loved crystals, but for the longest time I didn’t know where I could find them locally, so I lived vicariously through my mother’s trips to Zimbabwe where she would occasionally bring me something back in the form of tumble stones, mini egg carvings or raw crystals. At this point, I wouldn’t have believed the types of carvings and décor pieces that existed, let alone that I would end up not only owning but selling in my shop!
Through my business social medias, I was introduced to a community that taught me so much more about crystals and their benefits. Everything began to click into place, and I became absolutely fascinated with learning about and collecting these beautiful minerals in all sorts of formations and carvings. What began as a personal collection and hobby spread over into my business aspirations, and before long I was sourcing and selling crystals in my shop.
As time went on my eye for quality was fine-tuned, and as I built strong relationships with suppliers around the world, the locations I was able to source from grew. This meant I was able to source a wider variety of the most luxurious quality ethical crystals and make them available to my community of fellow crystal lovers. This process remains ongoing and as our ranges expand, I will always strive to source the prettiest and most unique pieces to keep up with the ever growing and changing demand.
Early 2023 marks an incredibly exciting time for Clair de Lune London as we launch our debut website, expanding our reach as we grow as a business - building our product ranges and brand far further than before. I welcome you to come along on this journey with us.
